2010 Tax Update

The 2010 Federal Withholding Tax and 2010 Earned Income Credit tables have been updated to include new 2010 changes.

Important: Before You Import the 2010 Tax Update Files

Once you have received the 2009 Year End CD, print the 2009 Year End Installation Guide and then you must perform the following tasks:

  1. Install the AccuFund build update or upgrade.
  2. Convert the database to the new version.
  3. Import the setup files from the Setup directory first.
Note: It is really important that you perform the above steps before you import the 2010 tax update files.

Download the 2010 Tax Update Files

Right click on fedtax2009-12-21.zip below and use the "Save File As" option or equivalent to save the file to the AccuFund\Setup folder. This will be on your server and will typically be c:\Program Files\AccuFund\Setup, but may be located elsewhere. Once you have downloaded it, then unzip it into the same folder.

To Import the 2010 Tax Update Files

  1. Log into Accufund.
  2. From the Setup menu, click Payroll and then click Calculations.

    The Browse Calculations window displays.
  3. Click the Import button.
  4. In the Import Calculations dialog box, click the Folder icon to find the FWT_2009 file.
  5. Go to the AccuFund\Setup folder.
  6. Select the FWT_2009-12-21.txt file and then click Open.
  7. The Import Calculations dialog box returns, click OK.

    The process of importing the federal withholding calculations can take a few minutes.

    When the import is done, you need to import the next 2010 Tax Update file
  8. Click the Import button.
  9. In the Import Calculations dialog box, click the Folder icon to find the EIC_2009 file.
  10. Go to the AccuFund\Setup folder.
  11. Select the EIC_2009-12-21.txt file and then click Open.
  12. The Import Calculations dialog box returns, click OK.

    The process of importing the earned income credit calculations can take a few minutes.
  13. When the import is done, click Close to close the Browse Calculations window.
